come help a good cause
I’m not updating anymore
Darren has brought it to my attention that I havn’t been updating… I got real lazy… now I’m real busy…
here’s some random pictures… I guess it’s mostly a few from the Gypsy Caravan 2our… and justin on a downhill mountain bike
If you read this post a comment and tell me you do
nick had a saturday class at cortland so i tagged along and we rode endwell trails with hancock and john lee… the trails were really fun and riding with john and chris is always a blast, but if john built it, you gotta be on your game… but the reward is the flyout at the end!
nick did 53% of a backflip on it, but the camera wasnt out yet… ape!

I cut a second off my time trial for a 47.2 second lap and didnt even make the cut….
the open main was STACKED
half pro, half expert… and nick (his estimated 6th race ever)

going into Main #3 Gaska, Harley, and Loffredo were tied in points… Loffredo took the win… on platforms

nick was no longer on platforms…. didnt matter

Video of some of the warm-up roller/berm stuff from early Spring. We’ve opened up most of the lines at the trails since then. The second and third clips are randomly shitty quality… thanks vimeo!
Digging + running + money + time trial racing + old friends + panamoka + good weather - tweaking ankle + keri + canoe + keyko + mets game = awesome weekend.
Thank you Jonas for taking all the pictures at Shoreham
ps- A few gate pictures in the gallery are from Dan McIntyre’s facebook album
snapped a few pictures of the track today… the pictures aren’t really that good
Driving home from the trails Friday night I saw the lights on at the BMX track so I stopped in. What I found was the race crew and some heavy equipment. I ended up going back the next 2 days to help out. Most of those guys have been racing for at least 20 years, so they know how to make a good track. They have some good ideas and put in hard work, and it shows. Looks like Shoreham is making a comeback
A lot of things have happened since my last update, maybe I’ll save that for another entry.
weather has been somewhat decent and people have been coming out of hibernation.
pre-snow
well, it’s been a while but a broken website, traveling, and being lazy will do that.
Thanksdigging is the annual holiday of spending the whole week digging at the trails while Nick is home from school, and other people have off for some turkey bullshit.
test….
(that is all)
Most of the time when I take my camera places I end up taking photos on the car ride there and never riding. This is pretty much the case with these two Mike Aitken benefit jams. There was a huge turnout at the New Haven park in CT and Pat Nugent has 700-something photos on FuckBMX (that he didnt take because he was too drunk.) I dont know if there are more stories of the skatepark jam itself, or the drunk drive home (I am default D.D.). Overall, that jam raised around $5,500.
Greenport Skatepark is a free/ride at your own risk skatepark right off the Long Island Sound, in a field, that was 30 degrees at best, and the wind was 20+mph all day. All that aside, there was a great turnout. Highlights include Jesse, Maria, and Russ killing the mini ramp, 3,596 footjam tailwhip attempts, 15 landed, and George D constantly remind us all that it is cold out. George, did you hear JFK was assassinated?
Props to Kenny Hirsch and everyone from Long Island Bikes for setting up the event and for putting up the raffle prizes out of pocket, they weren’t donations they were off the shelf.
NOTE: the picture uploader doesn’t work or this would have been updated Saturday night, check back
stupid ankle
been stacking jumps and taking photos . . .
