Went out to Posh with Supes and Mr. B Tuesday, saw Tom and Ed from Austin and a few other Illinoisans and Englanders I’ve seen before… real laid back session and dialed trails and trains and landing side by side on the last jump. I was like a kid in a candy store, except the kid is 24, the candy is dirt, and the store is the woods. Thanks again to Jay and Gilly for a great time. That night I shacked up on the print shop couch and Supes and I flew out to Vegas Wednesday morning 6am. After multiple trains and a 3 hour pit-stop in Long Beach California, 13 hours later we were in Vegas. What followed was two and-a-half days of craziness and debauchery that ended up feeling like a week. NORA cup party is always a good one, check SuperBMX for a future update and ridiculous photos. I was the most sober person in Las Vegas yet I have the hardest time finding my car in parking garages. I had a great time meeting old friends and new alike, giving out videos no one will watch twice, and I don’t think Gary Ellis was too psyched I was him for Halloween. Got to visit grandpa Hoey which is always a great time.. Can’t describe how wild vegas was so I’ll leave you with some of the very few pictures I took. Special thanks to Billy Dies for hooking up the V.I.P. and to Darryl for the hotel floor. Really appreciated.

Rode at Baker’s Acres Saturday and Sunday. The trails were so much fun, and everybody there was so nice and hospitable to us. Kelly Baker is one of the nicest and wildest people I’ve come across, riding an 18″ bike with a huge chain and clock around his neck, and blowing up rocks in a fire. Fisher throwing huge tailwhips, Nate doing tboggs and inverts, and Kie from Australia killing the place. I also managed to manual across Nicks head and hands while crossing over him where 2 sections meet. Afterwards, we made the crucial Shortstop Deli stop which may or may not have been the highlight of my trip. To me, this is what BMX is all about; spending the weekend with your friends training all the lines at the trails, racing and passing each other, eating bananas and roasting corn on a fire, and of course blogging. Huge thanks to everyone who made this trip awesome: Nate, Nick, Ian, Bentley, Keri, Kelly Baker and family, all of the locals at the Acres, Crandall, Kie, Big Job, Fisher, John Lee, JPR, Hancock, and everyone else I met.

Did some work on Nate and Nick’s trails on Thursday, getting them one step closer to being dialed in. Dug with Bentley most of the day while everyone was at work and school. Checked out some hippy party that night and played UNO until 4:30am. Went back to FBM with Nick Friday and helped JL and JPR some more and looked at 5 floors of wild car storage with man-made sketchy illegal parking garage ramps. Afterwards we rode Endwell trails with Opie, John Lee, Chris Hancock, and a plethora of young locals. Had a good roller manual and flyout session.
Ryan sent it to Upstate New York to check out the beautiful scenery. The weather appears to be great and the riding should be fun. Ryan stopped at FBM to see John Lee and helped John and JPR package some hubguards. Nate has some jumps started so Ryan and I are going to try and get them going. Nate and I like to beat each other up…a little too much time watching UFC. I wear fancy clothes now that I’m not digging trails. We’ll keep you updated via slow internet from the sticks.
5 and a half years and Bently is still kicking ass.

Made a few trips out to catty last week to make up for not going all summer. Trails were almost as dialed as Abe’s moustache. They are having a benefit jam Oct 4th so head down and do nacnacs, I know I will be. Check out www.pawoods.com for more info.
Heavy rain at the trails lately means heavy mods (and heavy drinking apparently.)
